How the Norwegian Mosque collects, uses and protects your personal data.

What we collect
When you register as a member we collect your first name, last name, email address and Fødselsnummer or D-number. We do not collect more than is necessary for membership.
Purpose and legal basis
The data is used to administer membership of the faith community. Processing is based on your consent and our legitimate interest in keeping a member registry. You may withdraw consent at any time.
How we protect your data
Fødselsnummer is never stored in plain text — it is encrypted with AES-256 before storage. The site sits behind Cloudflare with DoS/DDoS protection, bot filtering and rate-limiting. Access to personal data is restricted and logged.
Storage and deletion
We keep your data while you are a member and delete it when membership ends or on your request, unless legal requirements state otherwise.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and delete your data, and to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. Contact us to exercise your rights.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies needed for the site to function. We do not use tracking or marketing cookies.
